Who Are We?

Western Plains Automotive is a fully family owned and operated business that has been in the motor vehicle industry since 1982. We employ more than 50 local people who are dedicated and committed to their roles with us. Some of our people have been with WPA since it first opened its doors.

The business has grown since its humble beginnings in a small shed and now stocks one of the largest ranges of vehicles in the central west, in a dealership covering more than 13,000m2. We have been named Dealer of the Year by both Mercedes-Benz and Nissan and won the Gold Rhino Award for Dubbo’s Most Outstanding Business in 2006. More recently, Western Plains Automotive won the Capital Finance 2009 Regional Dealer of the Year Award.

Our Customers

It’s one thing to win awards. The best recommendation we believe we can receive is from our customers. Some of our customers have been coming back to us year after year for nearly three decades. We deal with families who regularly upgrade their family car to the latest model, with teenagers who buy their first car and gradually move into something bigger or newer and eventually buy a family vehicle. We have also been dealing with businesses to provide and service their fleets regularly for decades.

Our Community

We support local businesses over a wide area and will continue to do so. Our community support and sponsorships are wide ranging, particularly in areas where our staff and their families are involved. Our key sponsorship commitments are with:
